Find a Tenant

Our mission is to find you the best tenant out there, at the best rent possible, as quickly as possible. There are three stages to our method – marketing, referencing, and co-ordinating the move-in:

1) Marketing

To successfully market a property there are two things we have to do well – get it looking great online, and tell as many people as possible about it. 

We’re trained to produce quality photography that will make your property stand out from the crowd, and we’re one of the few lettings agents that will take the time to measure-up and produce a floor-plan free of charge

But we don’t just put the photos online and wait for the phone to ring – we have hundreds of potential tenants on our database to call! When you instruct Outlook you’re benefitting from a network of six branches in East and North London, and every member of the lettings team will be working to find you the best tenant as quickly as possible.


2) Referencing

It’s not about finding any tenant, it’s about finding the right tenant. This can be more complicated than people think; not only do we need to establish the applicant’s ability to pay the rent, we’ve also got to think about how they will treat the property, how long they are likely to stay, how stable their employment is, whether they are legally entitled to rent in the UK, and whether they are likely to sublet – and that’s not to mention money laundering regulations!

We employ a third-party referencing agency to ensure that our landlords get a thorough, impartial and speedy vetting service. They contact employers and landlords to obtain references, check financial history and examine documentation to give you confidence you’re getting a reliable tenant.

We can also use those referencing reports to help you arrange rental protection products that will give you peace of mind.


3) Co-ordinating Move-In

There’s so much to do! Landlords have to comply with so many laws and regulations it can be overwhelming, but for us it’s part of what we do every day.

We have a team of tenancy co-ordinators who will make sure that everything is ready for your tenant to move-in problem free. Inventories, check-in appointments, safety tests, deposit protection, landlord licences, cleaning and maintenance – we can handle it all for you.
