Docklands is fast becoming one the most popular areas of London with its close proximity to the City and Canary Wharf. The area has seen huge changes since we arrived due to a variety of investment from new residential developments, the arrival of large multi-national companies and the re-development of the Canary Wharf Shopping Centre which houses over 240 shops, bars and restaurants. There are many other local attractions such as Retail Parks and of course the ExCel Centre which was used for the Olympics’ 2012 and continues to hold major exhibitions throughout the year. Another desirable feature of the area is that many properties have water views of the docks or the Thames and although the developments are mostly new-builds the surrounds are steeped with heritage, such as the original cranes which are still present from when the docks were first built in 1880. If you visit E14 and E16 all you will see is cranes and development particularly next to the water thus enhancing future investment opportunity and new communities to live.
