Tottenham is located within The London Borough of Haringey, and is separated from Walthamstow to the East by The River Lea and by the North Circular Road to the North where the London Borough of Enfield begins at Edmonton.
As the crow flies it’s just over 8 miles to Trafalgar Square in Central London and is also the ancient boundary between old Middlesex and Essex.
Tottenham as an area is currently going through a huge regeneration project. Being part of the £61m grant that the area has received, the local community and region is being revitalised and is a fantastic place to live work and invest. The area is being improved with new public spaces, housing, increased transport capacity and transport links and therefore can reap the benefits of Tottenham Hotspurs new £600m stadium development. A skills and jobs programme via the local government are also boosting growth and helping to restore local pride.
As an area, Tottenham is represented by nine local council wards and incorporates the postcodes N15 & N17. With the ongoing regeneration, the local area, in general, has seen a significant impact on prices and community with huge investment going into Tottenham Hale and all the way up the River Lea, Wood Green, Hornsey, Edmonton and Palmers Green. The area is, therefore, following Walthamstow to the East and Stoke Newington to the South as becoming a sought-after place to live within. The area is a future hotspot for property growth and with two underground lines and an overground line serving the local community together with easy access to the North Circular Road and M11 you can only see prices rising and demand to increase as this area becomes the next trendy place to reside. This is further backed up with one of the highest planning application rates in the country.
